Other
Critters
In addition to the longhorns,& donkeys, there are several other critters that call Rancho Poco Loco home.
 |
We have 1 very spoiled English Springer Spaniel, who rules the
household, along with his apprentice, Cinder Cat. |
 |
|
| There are 2 other barn cats, which
help keep away the mice. They work hard all
day, but spend the night inside the garage as protection from the
coyotes. The gray is Foggy, and Popsicle
is the orange tabby. We also have a new Maine Coon Cat named Whiskers
who is very friendly to all out visitors! |
| We have two dozen silver-laced Wyandotte chickens.
Besides being pretty (for chickens, at least), they help control the
population of grasshoppers that eat the Christmas trees. |
 |
 |
We hand raised a dozen ducks in 1998,
and three dozen in 2002. Sometimes these ducks are a little too comfortable here, and go for a dip in our pool! Lots of other types of ducks can be found here year-round, as well as roadrunners,
Canada geese, blue herons, egrets, kingfishers, jays, cardinals, and lots of other colorful feathered ones. |
